Sunday Streets needs you! 

Help transform car-congested streets into fun, free and joyous spaces for the whole community as a Sunday Streets volunteer. Rewards, parties and and plenty of perks await you – read on to find out more.

Volunteering is a simple way to connect with your community, and a variety of roles mean there is something for everyone, regardless of physical ability. Spend a day in the sun as an Event Day volunteer, get the word out as a member of the Street Team, or help make the magic happen through work at the Sunday Streets office.

Under 18? Sunday Streets welcomes volunteers of all ages. Volunteers under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver. Volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a typical volunteer shift?

Most volunteer shifts are only 2-3 hours. Volunteer Team Captain shifts are usually 4 hours or more.

Are there age restrictions?

All ages are welcome! However volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and volunteers under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver.

What's a Volunteer Team Captain and how can I become one?

Volunteer Team Captains are the volunteer leads of Sunday Streets. Captains assist Sunday Streets staff and manage volunteers during events, at the booths, or along the route. If you’re looking to build your leadership skills, volunteer management experience, and would love to get more involved with Sunday Streets, this position is for you! Available captain positions can be found on the upcoming volunteer page.
